HM looks like an awesome trail system, lots of ATV Friendly towns... I would think that anywhere you drop would be fun...

H/M is an incredible place to ride. You didn't mention how long you will be there. If you are going to be there for more than a couple days, try to ride several of the trails. If you are limited in the time you will be there, I would say Rockhouse, or Pinnacle Creek. Rock House is the largest, and is quite diverse in the types of riding you will find. It is said though that the green trails on Rockhouse are about the same difficulty as the blue trails on some of the other areas.
We spent a week there in September. We rode 3 days at Rockhouse, 1 day each at Bear Wallow, Buffalo Mountain, and Pinnacle Creek. All great rides.
We stayed at Browning Fork Trailhouse in Gilbert WV. It is really a nice place to stay, and the people who run it are the greatest! Gilbert is pretty centrally located to all the trail so if you want to try some of the others they are within an hour drive.
Check out the H/M website at trailsheaven.com for all the information you need.

I was down there in September as well. We rode over Labor Day weekend at Rockhouse. We rode all day Saturday, and all day Sunday and we had a blast. We stayed at Twin Hollow Campground which has direct access to the trail. It was an awesome place to stay. I would stay there again if i were to go back. Here is a link to their site.

Twin Hollow does look like a great place also. We stopped by on our ride over to Mann. For our group size, a big 3 bedroom double wide worked better than renting a couple of the cabins at Twin Hollow. It is still on the possibility list for next year. The owners there seemed to be great people as well. In fact, one thing you will notice anywhere there is some of the friendelest, and nicest people you will met in your life.

Default Hatfield's

We stay at the Rockhouse Lodge or the Depot Lodge in Man. We've ridden Rockhouse and Bearwallow. I prefer Bear wallow. If you choose Rockhouse you can ride to Gilbert get some lunch and head back. Terry Fekete is the owner of both place's. Very clean, and the depot lodge is on the river, you can have a fire after a long day.

Enjoy. Lot's of good local trail's to that we have found over the year's.

We stayed at Little Coal River the Katheryn's Kabins. Randy is pretty cool who runs the place. But I will caution any who may want to stay in the trailers they are pretty crappy. Either stay in the actual wood cabins (little tight sleeping for the big guy) or get some place up the street in Logan. I had some bad experiences but I want to go back. I have heard the same things that Outback et al, say about Rockhouse! I think I would want to do that and or Pinnacle. Who's to say in the future?

Default twin hollow

We went to HM in sept as well and we stayed at Twin Hollow. Thats the only place we'll stay at. Super clean and awesome views. (ask for cabin 5. Its right in the middle) You'll have quick access to the town of Gilbert. As well as being right on the rockhouse trail. Meet alot of great people there and can't wait to go back!
