long story short im trying to pull my fmf power core 4 silencer apart.... but it will not come apart! what am i not doing??? i pulled the 4hex screws out of the front of the pipe, where the body mates to the front cap,and used a screwdriver to separate the body from the flange. And it still wont come out! i have repacked fmf silencers before and never had this much problem, what am i not doing?

 

4 hex screws are just for the endcap. You need to drill out the rivets, and the core will slide out.

 

im just upset but i have to ask, why the hell would they do that??? their old design was great and simple, why change it?

 

because the manufacturers like to make things difficult
