07 hawkeye 4x2 won't start
#1
So, this is my first post here & I've spent a little time searching before asking the question. As well, I'm very familiar with mechanical stuff as I have had an old blazer for 15 years that I know pretty much inside & out, so I understand most about how, what & why about engines & such.
To the point. I just bought 3 2007 hawkeyes, (2 4x4's & 1 4x2) & the 4x4's work great! Have had them out the past two weekends & no issues at all. (smoking deal BTW, 7500 for all 3 with a 4 space trailer)
Buuuuuuuuuttttttt, the 4x2 has no spark. I have fuel, but no fire. I've checked the connection of the coil, & replaced the sparkplug. No dice.
Short of tracing down every wire & connection, I think I need a little help.
Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!!

I haven't tried that, but will when I get home. How did he fix it?
Other information I forgot to add - It will crank forever, & the battery is good & holding a charge. Just had it on the trickle for about a week & it has held for over two weeks now.
Thanks,

It could be the ETC (electronic throttle control). The black box that the throttle handle is in. Take the top off the box and you'll see a set of points inside. They should not be touching. If they are, put a small slip of paper between them and try to start it. If it starts, take the paper out and adjust the point for about 1/16" space.
Hope this helps.
