Default what chain to use on the scrambler 500?

So after 2 tanks of fuel riding it, the chain broke when I took a bump and got airborne. The chain doesn't feel bad, but it's not broken on the master link so that mean it's time for a replacement. Is there any chain that is strong enough? I heard the scrambler damage chain easily.

What yr of 500 Scrambler do you have?
I like the DID X or Z chains but you may want to check into a HPD chain tensenor too

do I need the concentric or non-concentric tensionner ?

the chain that broken on me is a Regina Gold O-Ring with large plates (2.2mm). But looking at the sprocket make me thinks that they are worn out. the rear one as been reversed for sure.

Since the front spocket is coaxial with the swingarm, the chain tension do not change with rear suspension movement. I remember reading that the scrambler chain are easy to break. Why ?

I've seen the race-driven-com kit for sale on ebay. then I looked at their website. Are they worth a try ?

Yours is a concentric model. And I would replace both sprockets with a new chain.I dont on mine all the time but since you are new to this machine you may as well start off knowing what you have
