i have a 1995 400 xplorer and currently she is not charging...
battery is charged, and when i put a dc volt meter on the battery and rev her up all i read is a steady 9-10 volts...
what should i check and has anyone encountered this before?

did you have the battery tested? how old is the battery?

could also be the voltage regulator or the stator....

 

it is reading 12 volts before hooking up in the atv

 

Regulator is bad, located in front of radiator, left side.
