Default 1996 Polaris Scrambler

ok I no nothing about my scrambler anyways My battery is bad so I need a new which im going to buy tomorrow.what would make my scrambler over heat all the time ? is it cause the elec fan doesnt kick on cause the battery is dead ? I can be driving fast and nothing happens but if I go down in the woods the red temp gauge comes on when I slow down ?

ok my scrambler has 3 turns on the key one is off switch the other 2 I have no idea what they do .I know it starts on the other 2 but my light wont tune on unless I have the key on the middle and today when I would turn my key over to get the lights on the red temp light would come on and would go off when I turned the key over to the bottom place.

ok I have the things of light on the dash and 3 of the color glass is broke I know 1 is the blue high beams and the red is the temp gause what are the other 3

1.get new battery 2.clean radiator real good(may have to take it off to get it clean)
key on your 96 should just be off and on
