Default 850xp front end recall

Had only 10hrs on it and they said the front end was worn pretty bad. Something about the steering knuckle bolts getting loose and wearing prematurely...this has probably already be beaten to death around here but if you haven't had this recall done - get it to a polaris shop ASAP. My service guy told me it depends where it was built in regards to whether it got the "right" parts (different steering knuckles?) or not.

My 550 did not need the recall.

Wow the worry list keeps growing by the day on these XP's. I sure am glad I let the jurry come out on this one before putting mony down on one! I sure hope Polaris does the right thing by issueing a proer recall or statement as I would love to own a two up someday!!!!!

Yah, the list keeps going thats for sure. Maybe came out too fast with this model to compete with other brands. "XP" = xtra problems? Was the recall for the 09's and 10's?

Mine is a 09 - and I could be wrong but I thought he said they had a '10 in w/the same issue. Just talk to a reputable shop and get it fixed if need be and all will be good. My 850 has had no other problems and been a blast to drive, I dont regret buying especially the deal I got on it

Aside from the PCV recall, I haven't had a problem with mine. Nov 08 build date, not in the front end recall list.

Unbelievable! 10 stinking hours on the quad and you're having issues.

What a lack of quality control, engineering, and cheap parts by Polaris.

Mine has had a new seat, the valve, rear shafts and awaiting parts for the front end. I don't regret the purchase what so ever . The machine is an absolute blast and I really enjoy riding it. More than happy with the decision. I'd buy another one for my wife tomorrow if she was interested.

I don't know anybody here, work for, or have any financial or emotional interest in Polaris per se, so I have no reason to state otherwise. Trust me, if I didn't like the bike, you'd know about it.

It's a known issue being handled by Polaris....."Lack of quality control"...maybe. You can bet the supplier is fired. Lack of engineering......not likely. "Cheap parts"....doubt that was their intention. Recalls, voluntary or otherwise are the last thing they want. The bike is very well built and I'm impressed with 98% of the machine from a quality control and engineering standpoint.

I don't want to get into other brands or comparisons here. You should sell your Polaris and move on. Why own a bike you can't stand.

I have almost 50 hours and 500 miles. No problems with the front end. Just the recall and clicking axles.

I have yet to see a new atv that didn't have a recall or TSB.
