i just bought 3 txl 50 eton quads. i just purchased new pistons for them as all of there compression were below 80psi. one of the quads has the 70cc kit in it. the 2 with the 50cc kits run beautiful. i can not get the 70cc kit to accelerate. it will idle fine. ive cleaned the carb several times and still have the same problem. i swapped carbs with 1 of the other quads and same problem. the 70cc kit has 130psi of compression. the tank was drained and filled with 93 octane gas. i chercked the reeds and swapped them with 1 of the other quads and still have the same problem. when the quad bogs down it maintains spark. after idleing the plug looks grey in color. what else could i check? these are xmas gifts for my kids and the 70cc is fore my oldest son who will be very disappointed in me if i dont have this running when his brothers do. please help. thank you. nathan

No never thought about looking at the clutches. Good idea

 

Just curious how the clutches might affect top end acceleration. I'm having a problem with the same thing.JWK

 

turns out the quad has a restricdtor in the exhaust were it mounts to the cylinder. the other 2 didnt have this. took it out and it ran awesome. who would of guessed. than ks for the replys
