Default Installing accessories on my rancher

I have a '07 420fm and it from the dealer, they don't come with a accessory plug outlet.. I got a set of heated handle grips for christmas and i was wondering where I could tie into to install them. At worst I figured I would just wire them right to the battery but I also want extra lights at some point too. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

If you go that route, would be a good idea to put a fuse in the line.

Do a search for “12 volt auxiliary socket installation” and also “Power port plug” on this forum. May be the information you’re seeking.

I picked up an accessory plug and an in-line fuse holder, and wired it into my 07 420. I mounted the socket on the RH side of my gauge cluster housing, and put the wires in a plastic conduit, ran them next to the gas tank along the base of the seat, under the plastics. I connected it directly to the battery with a 25a fuse. So far, so good. It looks clean and factory to me.
