Default 400ex blowing gas out of carb into airbox?

Hi guys,

Have a problem with my 01 400ex blowing gas out out carb when I rev it up and then starts missing but it does idle great and its just about half throttle when it does it. Maybe air/fuel screw isn't right?

Something similar happened last your on my Polaris. When I took the carb apart, I found that the main jet had fallen off.

Just an idea...

Howdy,

Well I had the bowl earler today and everything looked cool, I did buy it off of ebay and the kid said it was ready to go but when I got it was in not very good shape. Parts missing, lines cut and one part broke. I guess I'm lucky it runs. I'm sure its a simple problem.

Default Thanks guys

Yeah I was thinking buying a rebuild kit soon for my carb from ebay. There are some kits on there as low as $21.95 and free shipping. I'm begining to think it has something to with the float level or needle and seat control. I road it the other day and it ran great at low rpm but won't rap out very high at all just peter's out. Does anybody else have any ideas?
