Default Elka Suspension group rates

Hey all, (I have ELKA's permission to post this info.)

I have been doing lots of research etc. for what I want to purchase to improve my rear setup. The price scare kept me from even considering ELKA products but I took a deeper look and here is what I was quoted today for my 2008 Sportsman 800 (all factored in with my riding weight, Mudlites 27" tires, and type of riding)

Ref:Stage 1 for Sports-Utility Quad Shocks | www.elkasuspension.com

Stage-1 Rear Suspension with Rebound includes a 10%, with shipping $645 OTD price (Pair).
POC: Sales Rep. SABASHEN(Sp?)
1-800-557-0552 ext. 244

I asked SABASHEN if he could give us a forum group rate if we get enough sales and he said YES they are willing to do that. So just putting out my feelers. What would interested parties be willing to pay?

P.S. As a side note I couldn't believe I was seeing a set of these for these prices. When I looked into this sometime ago they were NOT lower than $1300. On top of that they may give us a better deal. Question is how much and it could also depend on you (interested parties)?

Thanks,

R'

R......
You sure you were looking at the Stage 1's last time you were looking????Cause the prices just keep going up as you go to the next stage.....Anyway they are definitely quality components and have heard good reviews on them but just too expensive for me....Good info and research though...

JCD,

I think so, but you hit the nail on the head. Yes they are expensive! As to the point of this
thread..8-) I am looking to at least spend about $400 and above for new rear shocks and springs that would be stock to fix my problem. (If I did my math right, thereabouts). So as to why these ELKA's seem to be attractive. There is no higher marked product that delivers the performance of these, as to why they have the market and I thought I saw a Ranger side x side have them (?)

Anyways any interested parties? I would like to extend this thread to the other brand forums on ATVCONNECTION.COM, anyone know how to do that so I don't need to create multiple threads throughout?

Thx,

R'

All, in case you see this same thread on the other Brand forums (Honda, Yamaha, etc.) please know I have worked through the channels to get all the approvals. Any interested parties post here for discussions and I will update if we get any OTHER (than Polaris) interested parties!

Thanks,

R'

What are we talking about here as far as "performance". I guess I'll have to do some research online. I have heard of them before, but just not sure of the need.

-What about when I use my plow, if they're custom made for my weight?
-How would they react to having tracks put on.
-Sounds like they are designed to be used as a set of four. Will two on the rear provide the benefits you're looking for.

Yea how true, I would fail miserably on trying to inform on how these products work etc. Bottom line is they are top of the line shock/spring suspension products for ATV's and Side by sides. All the mags that do those tricked out projects etc. all use the ELKA for suspension aftermarket upgrades like many use Highlifter products (Wheels, left kits, gorillas axles etc.) so just to give you some perspective.

Sabashen said that the handling is NIGHT and DAY compared to stock. Do some google searches and YOUTUBE searches and you will see. Also, because of their design they put more of the wheel on the ground where it should be and has less roll. Very configurable for adjustment heights even on the trail without a jack. And NO you don't need all four. I worked out my setup with front Polaris HD springs and no issues with just running rear stage 1 shocks. Maintenance free so to speak and also every part is serviceable, so these are a good investment unlike STOCK where once shot its not serviceable.

Hope these additional statements are helpful. But YES like Stendori said refer to their site or call the Sales Rep and decide if its something you be interested in and IF so lets start adding to the group interest so we have something to take to ELKA to possibly work us a forum discount. rate.

Thanks,

R'
