Default Polaris Sportsman 400
Hi guys. Do you think an 05 Polaris Sportsman 400 is good for plowing and trail riding and hauling some stuff around?

nothing wrong w/ a 400. just use low range and you'll have plenty of hauling power and won't eat your belt. imo

Yep. Should be plenty. I just got rid of a Suzuki 280 that I used for plowing and riding for 12 years. That little quad plowed a lot of snow over the years and never let me down..

I have an 05 400 with just the stock tires and it plows no problem. In low of course

Thanks. By the way, what is the difference between 400, 400 HO, and 400 EFI? Im looking at a 400--.

I have a 09 400 H.O. it does not have low just high range so one thing to think about it you want to plow with it. not sure about the others.

the 400 HO is a differnce cc(455cc) then the 400. don't know about a 400 efi.

Okay guys, what would be the best plow for this atv? Straight, tapered, width?
