I got my son a 2009 baja 50cc atv for christmas, I Have other friends with kids atvs and i find it doesnt Run up to par like theres do, I recently resolved the Rattling problem at High rpms by removing the end cap off the muffler and taking out the cone shaped screen (hopefully that doesnt hurt anything) And Cleaned out a half cup of water that somehow made its way into the muffler, I checked the air filter and It looks okay, allows for a good amount of air to pass through. I also turned the idle down a bit lower so it wouldnt move on its own. All in all, the quads pretty much gutless when its in a slightly snowy or rough spot, have to give it a slight push to get it moving.

Does anyone have experience with these Canadian Tire quads, and any advice on how to give it a little more oomph? I dont really want to increase the hp until my son is more adept at riding it. Pretty much just want to give it a better set of B@lls so my son will be able to keep up with his friends and not having to stop and unstick himself as often

Also would Valvoline SAE 5w-30 Premium harm these little Engines, Or would it be safe for a little while? havent added it yet, ive just been doing some research on it, some say dont some say do
