Default Sportsman PVC front Spring Spacer Question

I read the sticky on how to do the PVC coupler spacer mod. After completing the mod on my X2, I realized my spacers look bigger than those in the pics and my front end seems a little high. I measured my spacers and the total length of the coupling is 2.5 inches. I'm thinking this is probably about one inch too long.

Can someone tell me what the correct length should be? I'm thinking tomorrow I can pull them back off and chop them down.

Thanks

Mike

Yeah, I dont want it to look lifted, just take out the sag and get rid of the ugly camber problem. I'm thinking mine are about an inch too long. I'm hoping Stendori will pop in and hopefully he knows offhand what the length of the spacers was on his mod

Well, i pulled them off and measured again, they were three inches long. I cut them in half and reinstalled them and I'm much happier with the result this time.

For what it's worth, It went MUCH quicker the second time.

FYI, i didnt have to remove the top of the srtut from the frame, just loosened the two clamp bolts on the bottom and slid the cartridge up and swung it out after strapping the spring. I thought about trying this the first time but went with the step by step.

it would be a weird ride w/ justthe front end being lifted up and not the back and most likely be very hard to handle.

yeah i mistakenly made them 2.5 inches or something like that and it rode like a fricken tank haha it was really hard to handle and everything. I took them out and put the uhh 1.5 inch (i think) spacers in and they are GREAT. Saved me $100 from buying HD springs. Looks really cool with how high it is and with the plow its like you dont have it on when you lift it up you dont feel the front go down so THANKS for the spacers Stendori
