Default (new style) 400ex plastic on a 2002 400ex

I know it can be done, but i was wondering if you have to totally redo the mounting or will it mount up the same as the old style plastic? Thanks

my best guess would be to look at the microfiche for the two different years and see if the mounting brackets are different

I just did this to an 03 last week. It's a botl on affair with the right brackets.
I had to order the metal bracket and the plastic bracket that goes under the nose. They help to support that new style headlight but they are needed for just putting on the plastic as well. I used a nose from an 07 EX with a Maier scoop hood for an 04-up 450R,...looked nice. Would post pics of it but its already left the shop.
