Default roller cage 08 500

seems this it my one day off while it snows. so may as well ask if any one replaced there roller cage in the front diff on there 08 500 yet? and wanted to know if the john deere parts would fit in this yr. iv seen the they work in the 07 and 06 sp's

my awd seems to be acting strange. i have to gun it to get it to enguage in forward. iv been plowing snow like mad the last 5days. and its starting to get annoying when it dont kick in. it seems to work fine in reverse. least most of the time anyways. im guessing the plastic cage it going out...

does the awd light up when in forward or just in reverse w/ the override pushed? just wondering if it;s the roller cage or something else like no power to it becuase of say a bad overide switch or tranny switch or something else. just a thought.

yup the awd indactor light (display) comes on, on the speedo display. it works sometimes and sometimes not. kinda hit and miss it seems. but it works better in reverse than in forward.

so the awd indcator always stays on when it it's in awd or does it go off and on kicking it out or is on and just the awd it seld kicks out?

well i just plowed again. and noticed that there indactor on the speedo come on when i turn the switch on. quess i never paid no attention before. but is it supose to come on when the switch is on, or dose it come on when the awd come ons? seems to always work in rev with the override on.

now i wonder if its the speedo or the front diff.

i guess what i'm trying to get at chuck, is that if the awd light is on in the foward gears and you don't have awd then you may have a broken roller cage. but if the awd is not coming on and the light is not on then it might be related to say the tranny switch messing up or some other electrical issue. imo
