Default 2009 polaris 500 ho

hello,
i can't find my owners manual and i was wondering how to reset the hour meter. thanks!

You can't, it's like the odometer in a car, it's the proof of how many hours your quad has on it if you decide to sell it or seek warrenty work. You can reset the trip milage by holding the yellow button in till it goes to zero.

Replace it with a new one. That will reset it. ;-)

thank you mr. thor. that was a cute answer. i just changed the oil and knew there was something to reset. but i thought i had to hold something in for 10 seconds and put it in neutral -- i dunno. it's been awhile since i did it.

I think you are thinking about re-setting the wrench which tells you when to do the next service. Right?

You can get the PDF owners manual on the Polaris site for free. Just go to the site and its on the bottom of the page. They will ask you to set up a user name and PW. Good luck

Hope this dosn't sound stupid. But check for your manual under the seat in the storage compartment.

The manual for a Sp500 is not kept under the seat because there is no storage compartment under the seat! LOL!
