06 scrambler 500 three wheel drive problem

Default 06 scrambler 500 three wheel drive problem

i have a 06 scrambler 500 that i had to replace the front bearings in one side, i put the new ones in and now that wheel will not ingadge when i put it in 4 wheel drive. do i have to replace the clutch looking thing to ? theres a wire that comes out of the strut could that be bad too ?

did you put the correct hub fluid in? is the wires going to the assembly damaged or unhoked as these are what powers it.

yeah like stendori said make sure the right fluid + the correct torque is important.

make sure the armature plates 3 little ears are engaged in to the back of hillard clutch and that its seated against the armature sleeve.

i dont want to sound like a dumb a$$. but hub fluid ? i thought you just put grease in there were the bearings are ? i have had both front hubs off a couple times before just to replace the old grease the scramblers arent very water tight .oh and the wire is hoked up.

you need to clean all the grease out and put the proper hub fluid in both hubs.

use brake or carb cleaner to clean ALL the grease outta there,torque bearings to 12 foot lbs.put type f trans fluid in.then let drain to 3:00 or 9:00 position,put screw back in.
