EPI clucth kit in a 96 400sp,is it worth it?

I wish to put a clucth kit in my 400sp but dont know if it will be worth it.Any ideas or helpful hints to improve my 4wheeler?Thanks.

EPI makes really good kits for stock ATV's that is there only kits they make are for stock ones an are very helpfull I have used them for parts to for polaris's It is nice for me to they are only 20 miles away

You really only need to change the clutch if you work something else, like pipe. If you get a pipe, then get the matching clutch kit for that pipe.

so you mean that the sport/ute kit will not help any unless I have a pipe or someother modifacation?

Toad, the EPI clutch kit is designed for stock motors. It will help your acceleration and backshfting very noticably. I run one with my pipe because, Dynoport pipes make power in the stock rpm range and pull strong right off bottom. A EPI equiped wheeler will get a completly stock one by about 4-5 quads in 100yds. At least that was the difference between my Quad and my wifes with just the EPI kit. It also will give you much better acceleration out of the corners. It raises your engagement by a couple 100 rpms but, is still very managable in tight quarters. The sport/ute is the one you want.

how hard is it to install it?Im fairly good at fixing stuff but dont know if this is in my league.
