Default warrior 5 speed to 6 speed

I have a 1994 yamaha warrior and I am planning on rebuilding the engine. I would like to make it a 6 speed. Are all the cases the same from '87 to '04. I would like to know if I can swap gears from a 2000 model into my case to make it a 6 speed.

All Warriors are 6 Speed.
If yours isn't, you need to find the problem before you lose the rest of them.

That's what I was thinking. I was seriously confused for a sec. My '98 has 6 gears and was wondering what the heck?

My '94 warrior is a 5 speed. I called a local yamaha dealer and they said that '95 was the first year for a 6 speed.

Your dealer needs to put down the pipe. For someone at a dealership to be working the phone and doesn't know such a simple question about Yamaha's best selling sport ATV of all time leaves me wondering what kind of outfit your dealer is running.

This is straight from Yamaha's own site...it doesnt get any more official than that,..and this is the first model,..1987.

Wow.... Sounds like they don't want to give you the time of day. Too busy for your business. There is no excuse for that line. The next year model after yours was a 6 speed? No documentation would state that and the fact that they say the NEXT year had it tells me they don't want to deal with you. Find a new dealership.

As far as your wheeler goes, I think you need to tear it down and find out what's going on.

It's one down, 5 up brother. I hope you aren't missing one though. Whoever you talked to at the dealer needs some quad reeducation!
