Arrow Oil injection block off

On a Polaris Express 400. It has a oil injection system. Can you bypass it and mix your own gas and oil and what ratio would you use.

I'm sure others will agree, if your injection system isn't broke, it is a very dependable and long lasting unit. But if you do want to block it off, you could. I'm not sure of the ratio

I am using my oil pump and so its doing fine. HPD and Rick Ritter offer block off kits. If you mix, I have used 40:1 premix. I think that I saw a post of yours that said you were fouling plugs? I have not heard of an oiling system delivering too much, I worry about too little. Have you adjusted the pilot jet?

mowerman, first you need to make your post TITLE when you make this thread coorect say like "Oil Injection Block Off" so members can under stand what you need by reading the thread title. a 40:1 mixture is what you want is your going to premix w/ out the oil injection. the piolet jet is inside the carb and is a fixed jet which is non adjustable. the only 2 adjustments are the idle screw(for rpms going up or down w/out the throttle ) and the air/fuel screw(metering the amount of the fuel and air going to the carb). if you have the oil injection still hooked up and working and you are trying to add oil to the gas it wil most likely oil foul the plug.

I just rebuilt my express 400 motor and removed Gear off oiler shaft. I also left oiler/ tank system on but emptied tank. Im in the process of still trying to start it,so i cant tell you mutch if this works ok this way. Sounds like i mixed my oil wrong . I mixed 20 To 1.. I guess i will go back and remix it to 40 to 1. Im having starter or grounding isssuess still Preventing bike from starting.

Just got my 400 rebuilt because it ran out of oil. I took the gear off the oiler shaft and left everything else alone. Mix it 40.1 like they say and it'll be good. BTW... how many miles can you all go on one tank of gas? This thing has a humungus tank on it. Close to 4 gallons aint it?
