Default fuel tank vent hoses

i wanna check over the vent lines on 06' sportsman 500efi and was wondering what all i have to take off to check them out. I'm pretty sure that it thats why it quits and wont stay running after it gets warm

Hmmm So do think the vent lines are plugged or just doing a routine maintenance thing?

If lines are not plugged or kinked then what? I guess you are getting a loud hiss when you remove the gas cap this is why you are going this route of checking the vent lines good call. Going to check fuel pressure too?

leave the cap loose if it keeps running its not the lines. but the vent line on my 08 is right under the under 16 sticker on the plastic. right under the gas cap. so you will need to remove the front cargo box, seat, side pannels, fender clips, and you may have to remove the headlight pod and handel bars as it was a pain to get my fenders off to check the fuel level tank sensor. but the hose runs into the stearing stem.

agreed by loosing the cap onthe tank would tel you if it's building pressure or not. if it stalled and you opened up the cap you would hear the pressure telling you that it's not venting. imo
