I just bought this bike and, after getting the 4x4 to work from the great people on here. I would like to know this, the muffler has a loose baffle in it, it rattles around. Will this effect the bike, creating a lean condition, I don't have the money to put a new one on just yet , We are planning a trip tomorrow and i would like to know if the bike will be alright for the trip. Thanks in advanced.

 

No it will not. Actually if it has not done so already some insulation will blow out the exhaust as well. I think it is part of the sound deadening pack.

It does get a little annoying but my previous two mufflers both did that. It took mine about 2 more years to rust through the can itself.

I ride a gravel/sand salt water beach and it eats the exhaust. I am currently on my 3rd and it did the same as you are describing about 2 years after I bought it.

I just have not spring for a stainless exhaust due to the $.
