Does anyone know if a 2000 magnum 4x4 with low will fit in to 98 Scrambler 400 4x4.

 

Not a good fit.99-up Magnums are rear shaft drive.Now a rear chain drive will work like off of a 400 Xplorer if you have front shaft.If you have a 3chain system any older 4x4 from a 400 or 425 will work.

 

ditto from ftw said i have a 95 and a 2000 scrambler both have low range trans execpet i put a bigboss trans in my 2000 its just geared a little lower use that for mud drags but my 95 is chain front just got old trans and sold mine only cost me about 20 dollars differance it is nice to have when you need it easy swap too that is how popo should of made them

 

I put a 2000 sportsman 6x6 trans in mine. It is geared lower also. I also went with 26" tires all around and wish I went with 27" or 28". I can still keep up on the trails with stock scramblers. You will have to mod the air box and shorten the running boards or lengthen the swing arm like I did. It is a beast in the mud!

hey i made first one buy welding aluinum to piece that mounts to trans but then i used a 12mm box end wrench fits perfect then just put nut on i used a double box end wrench 12mm and a 14mm the natural bend makes great handle and cheap and easy went to auto swap meet picked up for a $1 thought this might help
