Default oil block off kit???

Ive been told by many pepole that oil injection on old blasters are junk and i should get an oil block off kit asap. I cant find one anywhere. Does anybody know where i can get 1? Or will it be ok 2 just disconnect it? If so is there anything special 2 do to it or just unplug it?

I know TM Designworks and Vitos makes them, i think you can unplug the injector hose from the carb then drain the tank, and then pour your mixed fuel into the tank, but the block off kit is the safest way to do it.

I'll probably get beaten to death for this thought,....

There is nothing wrong with the oil injection system. The problem is, people let them run dry and the engine seizes.... then blame it on the system.

Failures are not as common as folks would like for you to think. They use the same damn Oil injection systems on boat engines and have for Eons,.... no problem with any of them,... they still make 'em that way.
If a manufacturer had a problem with it, do you think they'd build the same engine and machine from 1988 to 2006?... I think not.

Unless you are modifying the engine with performance mods,.... the injection system will do fine for a long time. Just don't let it run dry (keep the tank full every ride!)

i see what your saying but...they way i see it is that why take the chance of relying on them? they tend to fail quite a bit on blasters, and theres just way less chances of having problems mixing it the old school way, they run alot better this way also, with oil injection it they tank could run dry from consumption or a leak somewhere or they can get dirty and old and make the mixture maybe to rich, maybe to lean, with mixing yourself you just dont have to worry about stuff like that and its better for the bike, i have a trailblazer 250 2 stroke which is oil injected and im fine with it but thats just another side to it.

I am with Warrior on this one. I agree that a lot of people run it dry and blame it on the systems but if there is a problem with the oil injection your not going to know about it until it's too late. I removed the system on my son's eaton, I never have worked on a blaster but with his I simply removed the tank and plugged the oil lines off going to the carb and have been running on mixed fuel for 3 years now.

I run mixed fuel as well,.... I bought my Blaster "sans oil pump". I also had a 2006 that was absolutely stock and had about 4 hours on it when I got it. My blaster with the mods, is rather mild, but I feel better about a "used" one being blocked off. Especially if there have been mods. If I could find another '06 model, that "a little old lady owned", for a few bucks,.... I would have no issue running it with the pump in service. I'm pretty meticulous about servicing my ATV's anyway, so I never start mine up until I've gone through tire pressure, fuel level, (Oil level on the '06) ..... checking the chain and all the steering and suspension bits..... Even if I just rode it yesterday.

The point I was making, is that it's a very proven system. Unless you have reason to believe it is in need of some maintenance, or even removal,.... then by all means,.... Go for it. I have ZERO issue with it. I support Yamaha's system whole heartedly.... That's all. It's a damn good one. Maintain it,... and it'll work well for a very long time.

Well when i got the blaster it had a blown motor i had it rebuilt. After i finally got it going i rode it for mabey a month and think i reved it to high broke the piston agian. I cleaned it up and put a new piston in it agian. And rode it for a couple weeks. After it was broke in i changed the oil in the tranny rode it for about 10 minutes and died started rite back up a couple times but then locked up. Shattered another piston i dont understand why cuz i was just putting around. it was using oil out of the tank so i thought it was working but i have no other explanation why this keeps happening
