Question Complete Rebuild, now NO SPARK!!! HELP!

Hey guys, new here to the forum. I have an 02 trailboss 325 that i just completely rebuilt right down to the crank bearing. It ran fine before i rebuilt it, just had to rebuild it becuase of a loud clunking which was the piston/cylinder being scored up from sucking something through the intake, but it ran good before rebuild! Now i rebuild it and it has no spark at all. I checked all my wires and every one is connected and correct. I put the flywheel exactly back in place and i have no clue why its not sparking! any ideas just tell me and i also have a few questions. Does the cam timing have to be right for it to spark? Do you need to have clutch's and cover on for it to spark? any ideas let me know. like i said it was fine before the rebuild.

lol i was just thinking that before i read your response. i have seen that done for sure. air gaps correct as well and no grounding out wires any where. no you dont need the clutches on to just get spark.
