A couple weekends ago I was out for a little ride. The electric start worked perfect when I left. I got out into the woods quite a ways and on one of my rest breaks I shut it off. When I went to start it back up it did nothing. I had to pull start it to get it running again. For reference it fired right up on the first pull. So, on the way home it was getting dark and I turned the lights on which worked fine.

When I got home I started playing around with the switch. It's the style where if you move it left or right it kills it and you push it up to start it. Well, moving it around I did manage to make it kick over for a quick second but that was it. I assumed that something inside the switch is broke.

Now, today I decided to go out for another ride knowing I'd be pull starting it. But I noticed the green neutral light isn't coming on when I turn the key on. The lights are no longer working either, although the last time I rode it they worked fine. So, I'm wondering if it is the switch or something else here?

Right now I've got no electric start, no lights, and no speedometer. For reference the speedometer hasn't worked for a little while now. Also, the winch & 4 wheel drive work fine.

Did I just knock something loose somewhere or is there a common problem I should be aware of? Thanks for any information you can provide me.

 

I would start with carefully taking the switch apart to see if there is any corrosion or loose connections. Clean it thuroughly with a contact cleaner and apply some dialectric grease.
