Question Maybe Muffler Issue

2004 Sportsman 600, went riding for first time this year yesterday, ran great but on return trip sounded like muffler and noise coming from front of engine. Still had a lot of power, but seamed like no exhaust coming from muffler. I did check air filter and had oil in the air case. Any ideas before I start taking a part?

Check the exhaust bolts at the head for tightness and also check that exhaust donut and springs at first bend are not worn and causing leaking from this area. This happens as the machine wears, especially on the front and rear exhaust donuts. OPT

sounds like you lost the exhaust gaskets(donuts) as mentioned.

I replaced the donut up front a couple of years ago because the machine was back fireing and losing power. It neaded back presure from the exhaust. When I did it then the machine ran great. its not back fireing now just a little hesitation at start up. Any other ideas?
Thanks for the help,
