I have an ATC 200S and it handles very well in the woods. Plenty of power for uses such as hunting or pretty-quick trail riding. Really nothing to complain about power-wise but suspension-wise, mine will beat you to death. Almost no suspension to speak of up front and none in the rear. I haven't had anything to do with a 185 so I don't know but I would think they were pretty similar. Around here I know alot of guys who will not hunt off of anything but a 3-wheeler. They claim tighter turning, less weight among other things. This one hauls a trailer pretty decently, even though it is light in the front.

Power is just fine, make sure you get one w/ front suspension. I can warn you from experience that if you put a set of mud tires like wooly boogers on it (no rear suspension) you will feel every rock those back ones hit. Stick with the balloon tires. Off cambers are same as on any other trike, if you don't lean you'll crash.

My brother has my sons old 1982 185s. He is a 250lb gorilla type looking guy. It seems to tote him around okay. The suspension thing, or lack of, you will definitely feel after a good day of riding. His does about 43-44mph on the gps while traveling on the snow (hardpack trail). Reliability??????? I don't think an atomic bomb could hurt this thing. Fill it with gas, change the oil and clean the air filter and it will last. He is currently looking for a atc/atv with suspension, but says that he would never sell the old 185s. Off cambers are just a matter of getting the feel for the machine and a little common sense. Hope I have helped you out.

After 1982 the 185s got front suspension, but before that they were completely unsuspended.A 1982 185s was my first atv and let me tell you, i beat the hell otu of it and it will still start right now.As a kid I didn't know a whole lot and some of the stories I could tell you would make your head spin.It is literally bulletproof, but get your skills down its a bumpy ride.

All you have to do is only put about one and a half psi of air in the tires and it will help greatly. But it will not turn as easyly at least this is the case with my Yamaha Tri-Moto 125 which has no shocks either. I think one year of the 185s had front shocks. Hope this helps
