Default Sunl slgk-90-2

Hello Guys,
I'm looking for some help on a used SUNL SLGK-90 go kart we just picked up. It seems to be an OK little machine but it's got a carb issue. It will start and idle perfectly, however each time you go to give it gas it barks and sputters.
I cleaned the carb and all the jets, and have turned the mixture screw everywhere I can, I think it runs best around 1 3/4 to 2 turns out, but the darn thing still sputters.

Could it be the sparg plug some what fouled?

The other thing I'm thinking is what if someone put in non stock jets? I saw what's looks to be a carb for this thing on Ebay for 30.00 bucks shipped to the door. I'd hate to spend the money and that not be the issue.

What gets me is this thing will start and purr on idle every time, however when I take off with it it sputters and burps.

I also searched online for some sort of info or manaul on the stock carb settings and haven't found anything, I do have the owners manual but it doesnt give me the stock carb settings, it asks me to see dealer.

Any help would be GREATLY apreciated. After I get it running right I'll tackle the lights not working issue

Also I believeit's a 90cc machine, the carbs on Ebay say good for 70cc to 110cc for a few of these chineese manufactured machines, does that seem correct? I think it's got a Kehin carb currently.

popular problem,

I read the carb link sticked under chineese quads.

http://forums.atvconnection.com/chin...-sunl-etc.html

I'm thinking I'll pick up a plug to see if that stops the sputtering.

Surely try the plug.
I'd check the compression.

Thanks LT, I changed the plug, fired it up and it ran like a son of a gun at 2 turns out for about 2 minutes, then it started to sputter and run without power again, it doesn't smoke in the least and fires up at the touch of the key even after running around for a half hour sputtering. So I would assume it's not a compression issue.

I may be leaning towards either some kind of coil or the CDI box heating up at this point. Does anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks again for any help.

Come to think of it, I didn't gap the plug but I wouldn't think that would start the problems after it's been running and get's heated up.

Thanks for the help, I guess I'll order a coil and CDI for a whopping 40 bucks delivered from Motopartsmax, hopefully they are dependable. Stay tuned.

Looks like it was the cdi, however it still doesn't run as well as I'd like. It seems the air fuel needs adjustment from time to time, instead of being able to just set it and go.
