has happened a couple of times, been out riding and it seems like someone just shut the fuel off , will start but no power then stalls , after sitting for 10 min will start and run fine . changed the fuel filter last time but it died today, no codes are showing up , anyone have a suggestion ??

sounds like the fuel pump could be going bad. when it shuts right off and you go to start it, listento see if when you cycle the key if the fuel pump is running just before you start it. if no sound then the pump is not working.

Does this only happen when it is hot out? It could be kind of vapor locking. The gas in the fuel line gets too hot. I have this problem with mine when Im riding slow or letting it idle for a long time and low on gas when it is hot out. Adding some fresh cool gas or riding through some deep water will fix it. {my pump is new}

Had the same thing happening to my 05 700EFI too. Turning the key on would not bring the hum of the fuel pump. But wiggling the short jumper connectors on it would get it humming. Gotta do some removal of the front plastic to get to the jumper connector.
First time around I found the jumper connectors internal connections were very corroded and green. I cleaned them up really, really good and coated them with die-electric grease to hopefully seal off the oxygen and prevent the corrosion again. I had grease oozing out the connectors when I pushed them together.
But the same thing happened a month later. I cut that crummy factory jumper connector off and put my some nice crimp-on connectors in place and sealed it all with a couple coatings of liquid electrical tape.
Have had no problems since.
If it should be the fuel pump definately listen to the NAPA advice and save yourself a good 300 bucks. Polaris sells only fuel tank/pump assy for like 425-450 bucks (+ tax).

not fuel pump , that was awhile ago the wires corroded off the one connector , and I do get the hum of the fuel pump . it will restart but idles rough and will stall if i give it throttle , seems to happen when ridding hard or pulling , was cool when it happened yesterday but was climbing a long grade .

They seem to have a kind of vapor locking problem. The gas in the fuel line gets hot and then it runs like crap. Cool it off nad it is good to go. It always happens to mine when it is hot out and I've been riding hard.
