can i mix new coolant with old

Question can i mix new coolant with old

got a 2009 can am outlander 650 that has 2400 miles and my coolant leval is at the "min" mark on the overflow bottle and i am woundering if can mix the new with the old or should i just replace it all. and what coolant would be best for aluminum engines (not the BRP stuff whitch seems to be the most expensive sometimes.)

I'm not sure of your location so it will be different depending on what your winter temp is. Find out what the lowest temp is going to be there, mix the coolant acordingly. I use water wetter with my coolant and fill the rest with distilled water. there is another thing called blue ice that is a no brainer as far as mixing. up to you which way you go.
