Torn between big horns2.0 and Zilla's?
#1
Will be getting a new set of skins soon and want some insight. I know how the Zilla's perform since a buddy has had them about a year and I'm pretty impressed with how well they do. But I don't know much about the BH 2.0's. From what I've read here they seem to be top notch as well. So can anyone give me some comparisons between the two other than the obvious. I want to know how they perform head to head. I ride a variety of terrain which I know they'll both do well in, but how about the mud and snow. I do get into some mud/swampy areas now and then and need something that'll pull me through when the going gets tuff.

From what I have seen the Zillas are a good tire but more Mud/Snow oriented whereas the BH are more of a all around tire that sticks to rocks like glue and last a long time. Kinda depends on what you are looking for in a tire. You here raves about both tires fore there intended purposes!

Thats two for zilla's, I am hoping someone will chime in on the big horns here. The more I study the tread design the more I'm leaning to the zilla's. After having the stock PXT radials and have seen what a big difference a radial tire can make, it's hard to go back to bias ply. I thought about the XTR mudlites but they're a little heavier and I don't want to sacrifice any performance.

Zilla's = Awesome mud/snow traction
Big Horn 2.0's = Great trail tire... Will last quite a bit longer than the Zilla's and handle better on the trails...
So it's is really has to do with what kind of ridding you plan on doing. If your looking for a all around good tire that is gonna work OK in the mud but ride great on the trail, I would go with the Big Horns. If you like the tearing up the mud hole and ripping through the deep snow, then you would wanna go with the Zilla's... All though the BigHorn 2.0's pretty damn good in the snow to!
