Default Raptor660r Help.

My friend has an 03 or 04 model raptor660. When he got it,it would run just fine but he couldnt get the chlutch to pull. Finally he got the clutch working but when it finnally grabbed it would go good in idle but when he reved it it would backfire bog down and die.He would get it to idle good for about 3 minutes and then it would straighten out and he could ride it good. But now it wount straighten out and we have no idea what the problem is. We have checked the carburaters, exauhst, and spark. Can any of you help please?

My son's 660 was backfiring and poping. We traced it down to the reverse wires down by the shifter shorting out and causing the quad to think it was in reverse.

it definately sounds like a rev limiter, there are 2 the reverse limiter & the parking brake limiter,

the parking brake limiter is easy to do just unplug it.

you can get better help over at raptorforum(.)com

I had the same problem on my 03'. Turn out to be the parking brake limiter.
