I was just curious if any one has bought one or seen one up close, and was wondering if the accessories they added to it were cheap, cheesey parts, or if they were actually pretty decent. I'm thinkin' I'd like to get a semi-modded DS instead of a stock DS for the same price, but was worried the extras aren't much better than stock, and are usually replaced by different aftermarket parts anyway. And how come they sell them for the same price as stock, anyway? Thanx........

They probably sell the stock parts to some distributor and they charge ALOT for freight and setup. It's around $800.00 as where most shops only charge between $2-300.00. Call them and ask them.

I think I know what's going on now But I haul a flatbad OTR and am sure I could get a load headed in their direction, then buy it and strap it down to the 53 foot trailer and head home. That would solve that problem. And thanx for clearing it up for me.

Not to discourage you from buying from Alba, as their product is good. I will however clear up the advertising. If you buy a stock DS650 from then, it'll cost you about $7500 OTD. If you buy the fully modified one, it will cost you about $9500 OTD. They have a $900 setup charge on the modified DS, plus some other Misc charges. The mods are good (I have yet to see them, but I've seen a little of their work) but you are paying for them.

I think this comes back to the old saying about being 'too good to be true.' From what I've seen, you get what you pay for, bot you DO pay for it.

The major advantage to this route is that you get a DS650 already modified, setup and ready to go with those mods, which has got to be alot easier if you don't have alot of time to do the work yourself.

That is a little steep.....actually, that's pretty damn expensive!!! I think I'll cruise the country and find a new one at a fair price and modify as needed

It's not THAT bad.. you are getting close to $2000 in mods already installed. A couple of which I plan to pick up for my DS. I think the radiator shrouds are a must have - anything that directs more air towards your radiator to help keep the engine cooler is a darn good thing! (Not cheap though, like $150...)
