Default Slime OK or not. and how much?

I always carried Fix a Flat but this slimes stuff stops a leak on the trail as it happens without getting off the ATV, where Fix a Flat you have to stop and apply it after the fact.

I bought Two bottles of Slime, and it has to amount ,calculations. One for over 45 mph (700ml for back tire) and one for under 45mph (500ml for back tire).
Any place I ride where I,m going 45mph or up is a faily good gravel road where a flat is unlikely, The slow going rough trails are my concern, should I just put in the lesser amount? or does it matter?

I didn't use it in my kfx. At high speed on flat fairly level ground or on the road, it throws the balance off in the tires. Used it in the trail boss tires, and went through a lot of stuff that left small punctures. You could see the slime start to ooze out, then seal the hole.

Have you taken a tire off a wheel that you used the fix a flat on? Cut the sidewall on my trail boss the first day I had it. Used fix a flat, and it worked temporarily. Took the tire off, and that stuff was just stuck all over the rim.

I just carried the Fix a flat never needed it yet, Just seems the Slime looks like a better idea. I should have something incase, we ride for hours on the trail up here and you never see another person or ATV . I dont ride alone but a 25mile tow would suck for the guy towing me out.

I,m only going to use the stuff in the back tires,I have new Mudlite XLs in the front but still have the stock Good Year P Trackers 6 plys on the back that are still in fair condition. Could not get XLs for the back 10" rims to match them up.

If you're not really opening it up on flat roads, I'd recommend it. Higher speeds on a trail you're gonna be bouncing a bit and probably wouldn't notice if the tires were a little wobbly.

Some plugs for the bigger holes/cuts and a small co2 charger to air em back up and you should be good for most of the common stuff.

I've put the Slime in the Renegade where we had a slow leak I couldn't find. The trick is too ride it as soon as you put it in so it spreads out evenly. Not saying it would be perfectly balanced though.

I agree, definitely go for a good length ride after the install!!

I haven't used it in the ATV but I have used it in two sets of Jeep tires, one 35" the other 31". Worked very well, balance was off, but not enough to be a problem. I did the 35's AFTER i did the 31's. with the 31's I didn't drive right away. With the 35's I did MUCH better results. Tire sealed better and balance wasn't as bad.

Long story short, I will keep it in the box and would use it if it was better than a plug.

I'd definitely start out with less if you still decide to use it. I've used it and, as stated before, it will throw the balance off. There's also a mess to clean up when you decide to change out your tires.

I ordered the HL leak stopper product for our machines. It is supposed to work more efficiently and doesn't need to be "removed" after 2 years. It uses 32 oz per tire.
