Most guys I know are making their own snorkels. As for the clutch you have alot of choices and I guess your only limit would be how much you want to spend and what you want out of it. I just did my 450 using the UTV Inc. (utvcrap) machined sheave, 1 mm shim, greaseless rollers (12 grams) and sliders and a blue epi secondary spring. I have alot of torque now and it accelerates through the powerband real fast and even it increased top end. The whole setup would run around $300. Lots of other ways to mod your clutch depending on what your looking to get out of it. Also airdam and mikes powerhouse does machining but you need to ship them your stock sheave to have it done. The Utv Inc. sheave is a brand new sheave so you can keep your stock setup if you ever want to go back or sell it. Going greseless was a no brainer since I was changing out the stock weights anyway. There is a link to videos of the install further down the forum page.

I went with UTV Craps 12g weights and greaseless sliders for $80, I also installed 1.5mm shim in the Primary. As for now since I am running 25" tires - I like the performance difference! It accelerates faster and has more snap off the line.

I might get my clutch sheave machined, but for now I am sticking with what I got.

Don't let that pic fool you Steve. That was taken two years ago when it was just detailed. I could show you a pic from today and it hasn't been that clean since.

haha... Mine has some battle wounds for sure! I recently finished rebuilding the transmission as the Low gear Seized onto the main transmission shaft! $300 for parts, another $100 in special tools / gasket seal for the split cases and about 50-60 total hours of my time to repair! As of now I am keeping this quad for as long as possible :-)

Later,
