I`ve got a 2003 sportsman 600 4x4 starts, runs, but wont take any throttle.
When you give it gas it boggs but wont die, this problem was dump in my lap, getting tried of chasing my tail.

IF carb jets are clean and open, fuel and spark good, then check carb intake boot, especially at clamp, prone to crack and split, could be cause of bogging off idle. Plus check plug wires and boots for abrasions. If all above checks out, could be beginning of infamous Ducati ignition system breakdown. OPT

Does it do it even when it has idled and warmed up?? Could just be you need to choke it a little? Mine is tempemental until it has warmed up...

My 2002 sportsman did the same thing. It turned out to be the foam insert that goes under the gas tank and around the snorkle to the air breather had been sucked into the snorkle and was plugging it.

From experience with a 03 600 Twin:
There was a recall on the carb but most dealers didn't notify the customer. Forget the recall. Get your self a Dyna-Jet kit for your 600, you will get better components than the factory and extra jets (with instructions) for different altitudes. Best thing you'll ever do. This recall was because the components were not right for cold weather. But I live in the deep south and they didn't work right here year round.
Gladiator is right on. Factory didn't include that little filter because it's a vent and there should be no suction there. They were wrong. Look under the seat where the airbox intake runs into the foam right at the fuel tank. There is a little tube. It should have a filter. If not, get the fuel filter and install it. It's the same filter. Be sure the flow arrow goes out. Those models were notorius for getting trash sucked into the carb and leaving you either stranded or sputtering back.
Doesn't sound like the ignition to me. Sounds like a fuel problem. But if your ignition ever goes out the only fix is to upgrade to the 04 system. The 03 system is junk. Don't know why this wasn't a recall. But Polaris will give you (or did) a $50. dollar discount on the new parts.
I've had to deal with all these problems since buying mine new in 03. But it still is an awesome machine.

I have a mid throttle stumble as well on my 600. Will a jet kit clear this up? Also I have a constant drip of fuel from the bowl drain. I have checked and rechecked the drain screw but it still drips when running. Whats weird is on drip when my wheeler is turned off.

You can't go wrong with that Jet Kit period. Your stumble might be the carb or not. In retrospect I'd go ahead and get the Jet Kit and clean the carb thouroughly. Of course, you could just clean the carb and see if that helps. You might have a tiny bit of trash in a passage or something. You could also have a tiny hole in the diaphram (not included in the Kit)
I'd check the plugs and wires while I was at it.
Could also be the beginning of the ignition failure. Though what mine would do was not crank for awhile then suddenly fire right up. Or be running fine then just die for no reason. Until finally nada zip no fire.
But I'd bet on the carb first if it was mine first.
Check the simple things first. Plugs, wires. Carb, clean, kit. New diaphram (why only midrange? Pinhole maybe), fuel filter.
Leave the rest of the ignition for last. You don't want it to the total toast thing. Also hard to check when it's working right. Plus it will be your largest expense. Good thing is it's an upgrade.
