Default Unknown Yamaha ATV

I recently picked up a yahama atv that for all intents is stripped of all of its skin, missing some components like the seat, fuel tank, etc. I was told by a friend of mine that it was a moto 4 atv, since he has one and it was very similar to his. He said it looked like a newer one, his was an 86 and he said it appears to be a few years newer than his. The thing is, I'm looking for more info on this thing. I did look at the engine and stamped on the block is 1500 cm3, I'm assuming that this thing would have to be 150 cc, I can't imagine this thing being 1500 cc's the engine isn't even that big! But with that in mind, I'm looking for more info to see if this thing is a moto 4, or another Yamaha model, or if it is a moto 4 that does indeed have a 150 cc engine. Any info that can lead me to identify this thing 100% will be greatly appreciated as I can then start hunting parts down with confidence I'm getting the right stuff.

on the frame next to the gear shifter is the v.i.n, find it and google search and you should be abe to determine what model it is. or better yet post it hear and someone should be able to figure it out for ya. mine was laser etched into the frame so you may ave to clean the frame and look close to find it

I found the vin number and ran it through a vin decoder online and found out that the atv is an 86 year model YFM225. So now that I know what model this atv is, I'm on the road to acquiring parts, Im still curious about that cc rating I saw on the engine.

The engine numbers should match the frame numbers a bunch... if not, it's had a transplant, which is entirely possible also.
