Im not sure, but i think that WORKS might make shocks for the recon. Call works, and ask if they make any. Maybe if you call one of the companies and tell them your perdicament, plead your case, and agree to wait, they may build you some custom. I dont know, youll just have to call and ask.

Works does make dual rate Steelers for the Recon. About 500 bucks for the three of them.

Why would you want to jump a Recon? They are not made for that! You should have got a 400ex, or if you want 4wd that can jump, you shoud have gotten a Polaris Scrambler!

What do you mean a recon can't jump! It can out-jump almost any other utility made, in fact, I have taken mine to an MX track before. Sure, it's nothing like the 400ex, but it isn't too bad.

I agree with you, its not a bad jumper but the rear shock could use some help, esp with my large self on it
I don't quite understand why that Racer fellow is talking about 4x4 quads though.
Do you know if you can get just the rear Works? If so how much is it?

Yea, I think it is 200 bucks(go to there website and check the aplications chart), but I recomend all around. 500 bucks isn't bad for a set of shocks. The suspension I want for my 400ex is 700 for just the fronts. I'm thinking about it, but i'm saving up for an XR250r to make street legal.

Get some works shocks, they are pricey over $400. Trade the Recon in on a new 250EX.

If he trades it in he will loose the softer seat, and racks, plus the 250ex is priced around here anyway about 4-500 bucks more. That would probably make the aftermarket shocks a better value since they might be better then the stock 250ex shocks.
