I see the tag on here from a user that says no ecm. Is there a way to do away with some of the electronic gadgets on a polaris. I have an 03 330 trailboss and I wa sjust curious. Thanks TonyT

 

i don't beleave you could do away w/ the emc as it's tied into alot of differnt functions on the bike.

 

Your 03 does have an ECM module which controls mainly the charging (replacing the regulator rectifier on other models) and the fan operation (which is not so critical on the 330 as it is already has an oil cooled system) IMO the fan is really not needed on the 330 UNLESS under heavy use and thats usually the only time the fan will come on! Havent had many problems on the 330,pretty good machines.All the electronic "gadgets" have a purpose on the Polaris! Good luck OPT
