I know some of you guys have put an '01 raptor shock on a 300ex. Just picked one up and was wondering if there were any tips on extending the rez hose ? Where did you find the parts, how much pressure to put back in, and how to release the pressure ? thanks for the help.

 

Do NOT mess with that yourself,very hi pressure inside, not to metion the shock oil. When I did mine,just took it to a local shop that rebuilds quad and snowmobile shocks, they have the proper tools to take it apart and recharge it. I ended up putting about a 14" line on my son's 300ex, and hose clamping the res to the right side frame (as you sit on it. Very solid,worked real nice. too bad the boy dont ride it anymore, since he moved up to a 440ex.
