i have a 2000 Honda recon 4x2 i have a issue with the electric start it works about half the time i replaced the starter solenoid and check all the grounds and wiring the new solenoid still makes a clicking noise like is is bad but i tested it too and it is good anyone have the same issue or any ideas on how to fix it thanks

 

You said you had checked all the grounds and wiring - have you checked the battery terminals for corrosion?

 

How old is the battery?

There could possibly be a bad cell in the battery if old. Battery voltage may show normal volts but drop low enough to not power the starter motor when starter button is pushed.

Batteries can be finicky!
