The Blaster, due to the 2 stroke power, is much more powerful than the average 250 4 stroke. The deal is, it is definitely a sport bike.... made to haul *** and do powerful riding. Trail riding, drag racing, jumping and Track racing are all options with the Blaster. They're fairly inexpensive to modify and get more out of than a 4 stroke too..... Easy to maintain,..... Solid performance. I have had 2 and still have one of them after almost 4 years of playing on them. I have ridden a few other bikes too, and I really like the power the 2 stroke offers.... mine's pretty mild and still a hell of a lot of fun.

Good luck on your purchase.

Thank you for the reply.. The purchase will be a few years from now but i will have to choose between a 4 and a 2 stroke.I've ridden a blaster 250cc big bore kit and it was very fun..Is it possible to put the raptor plastics tank and seat on it for some better looks?

I dont know the exact measurements, but I know that a blaster is shorter than a raptor 250, so I doubt that you would be able to bolt on raptor plastics.

The blaster is a tiny bit faster than the raptor 250, but it has somewhat outdated suspension, frame, etc... My advice would be to save your money and look for a used Raptor 250. You could probably find one thats just a tad bit more than a blaster.

Then again, I am biased towards the raptor

Hope this helps some.

you can find blasters very cheap, like from 500-1500$ on craigs list. They are small for an adult rider, but perfect for 16 year olds- and they are very simple to operate/rebuild if you ever need to.

Maier builds some nice aftermarket "raptor looking" plastics.

In my opinion, I think you would be better off spending your money on performance upgrades over visual upgrades.
