Default ITP SS312 and 26" Zilla's on 2005 Sportsman 400 (Pics inside)

The ITP fairy stopped by today and left me some 14" SS312's with some 26" Maxxis Zilla's. These tires look awesome. It was a big difference from the 12" steel wheels and 25" stock tires. I went with the 26's because Its only a 400cc and I didn't want to put too much pressure on the clutch (don't plan on getting a clutch kit). I was told but this combo might be lighter than my stock setup, but they were way wrong.

Front stock wheels and tires: 24.4 lbs
ITP and Zilla's front tires: 33 lbs

Rear stock wheels and tires: 31.2 lbs
ITP and Zilla's rear tires: 40 lbs

It added about 35-40 lbs. We'll see how the clutch holds up spinning that extra weight. Shouldn't be too bad. They did raise the four wheeler up about 1.25" to 1.5" front and rear. They do vibrate on hard surface, but I would trade that any day for the look and how they will perform in the conditions we normally ride. We don't do much hard pack surfaces over here. I apologize for the pictures, but I just snapped some with my iPhone before it got dark. I will take more with a better camera. Thanks everyone for the help in picking these out. Need to get some wear and tear on them because now the four wheeler looks wierd with the scuffs and scratches, and brand new wheels.

Yeah, I thought about that. I thought I was going to sell them, but I like the new ones so much, that I decided to keep the old ones for when I sell this four wheeler I can take the ITPs with me for my next one. Sorry man.

Thumbs up

GREAT setup! Really does improve the look of the machine. I'm sure once you hit the mud...you will really see the benefits.

When you take out for some play, can you give us an update on how the set up performs? I'm looking at putting the same set up on my 08 500 touring.

Old thread, but I am looking at 26" (1.2" lugs) on 12" ITP Delta Silver steels.

Looks great.
