Default Trail Blazer good for beginner?

I'm thinking about buying a used Trail Blazer for my girlfriend. There are several in my area for sale, varying from $1500 to $2500, years 2000 - 2005.

She doesn't have much riding experience, so after weighing the options, I figured this quad was a pretty good medium. It wouldn't be scary fast, but would have enough power. Decent suspension. Automatic Transmission, so she wouldn't have to worry about shifting. Could handle desert riding, trail riding, and dune riding.

The only concerns I would have are about having to maintain a 2-stroke, and how well it handles or if it is top heavy or tends to tip easily.

I've never ridden one or known anyone that has one.

Any feedback, comments or other info would be appreciated.

Thanks guys.

A Trail Blazer is a 329cc 4 stroke, also.

Awesome. Thanks for the heads up.

What year did they start making them in 4-stroke? I haven't seen any used ones. Can't afford a new quad right now.

Seems like the newer 330 Trail Blazer is much like a older 330 Trail Boss with the racks removed. If you can find a Trail Boss out there.

I think the older Trailblazer was a 250cc 2-stroke. I had an Xplorer 4x4 with the same engine and it didn't require too much. I changed the plug every so often. More recently they come with a 330cc 4-stroke.

To answer the question it shouldn't be too hard for a beginner to ride. There is also the Phoenix with a 200.

I looked at trail boss'. They just look a lot heavier and more cumbersome. The Trail Blazer is obviously the sportier version. Which I think would be better for her.

I just know 2-strokes are more finicky than 4-strokes.

The 250 Trailblazer is GREAT beginner machine ample power and decent handling.Easy mods when more power is wanted. These will be cheaper than a newer 330.But if she likes a smoother ride a 330 Trailboss is good but not a sporty of a ride or look

Both my kids learned ona trailblazer and picked it up instantaniously. They were very confident due to not having worry about a clutch or gears. Its perfect for an adult woman
