Oil Change Question - Is my motor damaged???
#1
Was changing the oil on the new to me 2006 500 Sportsman. I read the manual, and watched a bunch of you tube videos on it.
Everything went fine, but when I reached up to crimp the hose to bleed the system, I felt a slit in the hose that runs to the air box. I pulled the hose off completely and it does have a 1" slit in it.
My question is this, would that hose leaking damage the engine by not allowing the oil to properly flow from tank to crankcase?
I am running right now to get a new hose so I can put it back together right, but I am freaking out about it!
