Will any aftermarket fuel pump with 2-4 psi work? Is it possible to change the setup to that of a 1987 or so where the fuel tank is above the carb and the fuel pump is eliminated?

 

This bike does not have a fuel pump.

What 1987 model are you talking bout? all the 1986 and 1987 350 4x4 and 350 foreman have the same set up! Now then the trx250 doesnt have But if you convert over to that system you will have to mod alot of stuff, like air cleaner assy, make tank mount,etc. IMO It would work its just an gravity type..I have never tried that but i have used an remote tank before just to run one for an while.

 

was just consideiring other options to eliminate having to replace the fuel pump and rectifier, which i understand from other msgs on here you need to replace both at the same time. So does anyone have experience in utilizing a aftermarket 12v fuel pump from like auto zone or can someone recommend a fuel pump that i can change to cheaper than the 160.00 pump from honda and another 150 or so for the rectifier.
