Default 07 Rincon Engine noise/clicking

I have read a few posts on this problem, but nothing on a 07. I have a ticking/clicking noise at an idle after the machine has warmed up. When I put it in gear and give a little throttle it goes away. I pulled the cam chain tensioner. I can turn the screw and back it off and when I let the screw go it seems the spring is working. Is it normal with the shaft extended not to be able to push it back? stumped, The machine only has 225 miles. The valves have been checked and adjusted. Thanks for any help.

I own two Honda Rincons both low miles. Now I'm not saying there isn't anything wrong with your bike but these bikes do make a lot of engine noise. My low mileage 05 model makes a grinding noise that sounds like something in the engine is getting tore to pieces but I have run the bike hard for 300 miles and still no problems. If I was you I would go to www.rinconriders.com and ask your question there or search there site. That is the website to go to if you own a rincon!

Some noise is normal on these, and most quad engines. I think the decompression thing can make some harmless sound.

What oil are you running? I'd also check for exhaust leak at the headpipe, and generally check over fasteners.

A mechanic's stethoscope is also super helpful to track down where a noise is coming from.
