Yep. I went to the dealer once again and the wife will soon be convinced. I need a second sports quad that is more nimble, more powerful, with better handling in the bumps and jumps.

Now what I need from you guys is convincing. Tell me everything good about the Raptor. Make me know why I need one so bad...that I will be forced to go buy one soon. Be honest.

Why buy the Raptor?
Compared to the other high performance quads?
What mods are essential upon purchase?

Thanks! I am counting on you guys...

BEST-power-to weight ratio
CANADA = Woods = Raptor territory

Xplor listen to Zorro "2 STROKES RULE", get like a TRX250R or LT250R.

But on a rare occation like this being for the wife reverse is a must I would...I would...Heck I can't say it!!! If want the raptor and your wife likes it, get it.

Tell the wife good luck with it and try to keep the rubber side down.

A good all around Jack of All Trades, the DS is a
better Duner, the EX is better for Woods and MX,
but the Raptor dose well in all areas.

It is a Chick magnet but the Dude is hitched,
well its still good for a midlife crisis,
kind of a dirt going version of that sports
convertable but the helmet means you don't have
to worry about the toupee blowing off.

It is Fast.

It is D@mm Sexy.

It unlike life has a reverse so you can back out
of trouble.

Scramdaddy, I may be the one to break the Polaris / Other-Brand barrier. As for a 250R or a similar quad...it's a no-go. I have never liked buying used since my 1986 Volkswagen Golf incident... Plus I could not fork over the same amount of cash for a 14 year old ATV. It's not my style.

The Raptor looks amazing and... well it looks amazing! You know...that feeling you get at the dealer...butterflies mixed with drool! I have been wanting my wife to go riding more but she just can't have as much fun on the Xplorer. Too big and bulky. With a new Raptor in the family she can either ride it...or the amazing Scrambler sitting out in the garage.

What can be better than that?! Best of both worlds!

Scramdaddy---> Have you noticed since I modded the Scrambler that Zorro is posting tons of questions on how to make his Shee faster?? LOL

The Raptor must definately be a chick-magnet...even if I am hitched! I work with about 90 girls a year at my stores and they have told me that it is a guy in riding gear thats gets them slobbering! (now I go to work with my Fox and MSR jerseys...)

Problem is I have long hair and most think I am a girl when the helmet is on and the hair sticking out the back! LOL
